DJ’s Story
A Mission. A Journey. A Message of Acceptance
Inspiring audiences through real stories of resilience, inclusion, and acceptance.
A Mission Was Born. The Journey Had Begun.
The Beginning
Where It All Began
Daniel John “DJ” Svoboda was born in 1982 in Sumter, South Carolina. At just over three years old, he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder along with psychomotor challenges.
Early on, this created difficulties with speech, coordination, and everyday tasks. Doctors were uncertain about what the future would hold.
As DJ grew, he faced challenges that set him apart from other children, making even simple tasks difficult.
The Challenges
When Things Were Tough
Growing up was not easy.
DJ was often teased, bullied, and made to feel different. School became a place of struggle rather than belonging.
But these experiences, while painful, would later become the foundation of something powerful.
Instead of letting negativity define him, DJ transformed it into creativity.
He imagined a place where everyone is accepted just as they are.
BIRTH OF IMAGIVILLE
The Imagifriends
From this vision came Imagiville, a world of kindness, acceptance, and imagination. A place where differences are celebrated, not judged. A place where everyone belongs. DJ created more than 3,000 Imagifriends, each representing unique personalities, emotions, and perspectives. At the center is The Mupperezmo, a leader who sees the world from a different point of view, literally and figuratively. Together with characters like Lucia the Flying Cow and others, they share a message of inclusion and kindness.
The Mupperezmo
"Mayor of Imagiville"
Lucia the Flying Cow
"Be carefree! No need to worry!"
Sleepy Time Friend
"Good night. Sleep tight!"
Silly Clown Friend
"Be Happy. Have Fun. Be YOU!"
The Mission
DJ and his mother Cindi began a journey with a clear purpose: To end bullying and ensure that everyone, everywhere, is accepted for who they are. What started as imagination became a movement.
